In Japanese he is called Denji (or Denzi if you prefer, and meaning electromagnetic 「電磁」). He is the eight Gym Leader in Sinnoh and said to be the toughest. Well, YEAH. He specializes in Electric Pokemon and has a Luxray and a Raichu... of course he's tough (unless all of your Pokemon know Earthquake....or whatever).
